What do Barack Obama and Nick Swisher have in common?

If you guessed that Obama is a White Sox fan, and Swisher played for the White Sox, you are sort of correct.  The answer we are looking for is that they are both huge Carly Rae Jepsen fans.  The pop singer whose hit “Call Me Maybe” has taken over radio waves every where, and the Yankee locker room and White House have obviously both been tuned in.  Listen below as Nick Swisher and Barack Obama both give their “Call Me Maybe” renditions, and let us know who you think did a better job!

In case those two didn’t do it for you, hopefully the last one of the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders performing the song will do the trick.  Enjoy all you Carly Rae Jepsen Fans!

  1. Obama was great and Swisher was good, but damn those Miami Cheerleaders are fine. They win it all for me!

    • yeah, after seeing that video I have to change my mind also, I thought it would be a good addition to the post…Hard Knocks in Miami might not be too bad after all.

  2. Swisher was good because it was a spur of the moment performance, but I think Obama won for longevity and finding time in his busy schedule to give such a soulful version, while changing clothes and venues throughout.

Brilliant. I’m gonna have to go with Swisher because he actually sang it. Also, I don’t get how someone has the time to chop up all those Obama speeches and make that.
